Lead Mechanic

Job Description Lead Mechanic IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Mechanic Lead We're hiring a Mechanic Lead responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the AMR company. This is a key role in assisting our Fleet Manager in the oversight of daily operations in our maintenance facility to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:
- Performs all Front-Line Mechanic maintenance activities assigned by Fleet Manager.
- Mechanic Lead will rotate on-call duties with Fleet Manager.
- Employee scheduling and ensuring the quality of work performed meets department standards and work is completed as scheduled.
- Provides input to Fleet Manager for employee evaluation and progress report purposes as well as assist in the training of new hires.
- Ensuring cost effectiveness of all fleet maintenance programs and assists Fleet Manager in development of new maintenance programs.
- Mechanic Lead maintains required vehicle records. This may include data entry, parts ordering, etc.
- Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.
- Electrical diagnosis experience with ability to read and comprehend schematics
- Must have a full set of personal tools.
- Must have a current valid driver's license.
- Journeyman level experience
- 5 years of basic automotive experience
- ASE Certifications (Combination A1-A8 - Mandatory Brake Certification ASE or equivalent).
- ASE 609 or equivalent Certification Mandatory
- Fleet Maintenance background preferred.
