Preschool Aide

Position Summary: The Preschool Aide is an important part of the early education classrooms, assisting the teacher in all aspects of student guiding and teaching.


Responsibilities:

Primary:


Instruction and Support - 40%

1. Help teacher(s) conduct small group instruction.
2. Provide one-on-one support for struggling students.
3. Assist teacher(s) in daily classroom activities.

Student Supervision and Care - 40%

1. Walk students to/from specials, gym, recess and other activities.
2. Monitor lunch and recess.
3. Manage discipline issues.
4. Supervise students in before/after school care programs.

Classroom Operations - 20%

1. Restock classroom supplies as needed.
2. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
3. Assist with bulletin boards and hallway displays.
4. Assist the teacher(s) with parent and family engagement and communication.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with some college credits.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.

Experience:


Required Experience:

• Previous experience in early childhood or elementary classrooms.
• In Accordance with MN Rule 3, must be teacher or assistant teacher qualified.

Travel: This position requires some local travel.


Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment and will routinely use standard office equipment such computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. The work environment also involves working in a Preschool-12 Private Christian School and Evangelical Church environment and all employees are expected to have a demonstrated and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Working Hours: Typically, employees are expected to work during normal hours and days of business, between Monday and Friday. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.

We are hiring for three positions:


Full-time: 6:45 am - 2:45 pm (with room for flexibility).


Part-time: 7:50 am - 1:30 pm

Part-time: 7:00 am - 12:30 pm (this position works with children starting at 29 months - 3 years old).


Salary Description


$17 - $19 an hour
