Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.

\n

• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs.

\n

• Assess patients' conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address any complications.

\n

• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.

\n

• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.

\n

• Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.

\n

• Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.

\n

• Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion.

\n

• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

\n

• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.

\n

• Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands-on training, feedback, and fostering professional development.

\n

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to maintain high standards of patient services and safety.

\n

• Performs other duties as assigned.

\n

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
\n • Ability to lead the employees of their unit in the delivery of patient care
\n • Ability to lead performance improvement initiatives on their assigned unit
\n • Ability to think critically in relation to the operations of the unit and delivery of patient care
\n • Ability to manage the business of healthcare delivery on their unit, including assessing and managing financial practices/Productivity management
\n • Able to assist and mentor others in relation to the technology utilized on the unit
\n • Excellent clinical practice knowledge and is able to apply this knowledge to the unit setting
\n • Ability to influence relationships and behaviors in relation to meeting the needs of the unit
\n • Acts as a role model for professionalism on their assigned unit of employment
\n • Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently
\n • Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling
\n • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n • Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record
\n • Specific skills as delineated by the unit of employment (see competencies)

Education:
\n • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
\n • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:
\n 1+ charge nurse or relevant leadership experience. [Preferred]
\n 1+ nursing experience within the acute care setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
\n • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
\n • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
