1st Shift - Warehouse Clerk - VAS Department

Monday - Friday, 4:00 am - 12:30 pm

About the Position

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for reporting, physical inventory, and system audits and for utilizing the inventory and warehouse management systems to prepare and track materials and products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs. May function as both inventory control and shipping/receiving roles in some facilities.

Functions

• Coordinate work orders, maintain inventory and production records, and ensures accurate documentation for customized products and customer orders.
• Create, monitor, and close VAS work orders in WMS.
• Track order status and communicate updates to operations and management.
• Print and distribute work instructions, labels, pick tickets, and other required documentation.
• Addresses carrier and customer needs and concerns.
• Completes reports, forms and documents legibly and accurately.
• Report all incidents resulting in injury or damage to persons, lifts or structures, immediately
• Continuous focus on fostering a safe work environment.
• Practices safe work procedures, and follows all safety rules at all times.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by site management.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure required deadlines are met.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills.
• Competent knowledge of computers.
• WMS knowledge helpful.
• Customer focused and oriented.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Lift truck experience is an asset, but not required.
• A minimum of six (6) months in current position or previous experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with all departments.
• Ability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
