Inpatient Pharmacist Opportunity

An established 300-bed hospital in Quincy, IL, seeks a skilled inpatient pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care during the overnight shift. This position is ideal for pharmacists with strong inpatient experience and familiarity with hospital information systems who are ready to contribute to a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and ensure accuracy during the overnight shift (approximately 9:00 pm to 7:30 am)
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Utilize electronic health record systems (EPIC) and medication management technologies (Omnicell) to support pharmacy operations
• Provide clinical consultations and support to nursing and medical staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in Illinois (IL)
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Schedule:

• Overnight shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• Shift hours approximately 9:00 pm to 7:30 am

This contract assignment offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful clinical work in a committed hospital setting, starting immediately. Duration is approximately 13 weeks with potential for extension.
