Registered Nurse - NICU

$2325.60/week –

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the NICU is responsible for assessing, planning, and providing specialized nursing care for neonates, particularly infants born at or above 32 weeks gestation. They collaborate with physicians to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care to ensure optimal neonatal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate neonatal patients and develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and physician input.
• Perform therapeutic interventions for infants, including stabilizing higher acuity neonates and managing complex cases.
• Document nursing care, patient responses, and clinical procedures accurately in compliance with standards of care.
• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and support implementation of innovative care approaches.
• Manage the care of neonates, including monitoring vital signs and intervening appropriately to support patient stability.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and families to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of mother-baby nursing experience, including neonatal care of infants 32 weeks gestation and above.
• Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NRP certification.
• Ability to manage higher acuity infants and stabilize preterm neonates as needed.
