Role Description The Second Shift Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington Township, OH, overseeing daily cleaning and facilities operations during the second shift. This role manages cleaning teams, assigns work, monitors performance, and ensures services meet quality and safety standards. The Second Shift Operations Manager coordinates schedules, and provides coaching and training to team members. The role includes regular inspections of work areas, addressing client concerns, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The manager collaborates with senior leadership to report on shift performance, implement process improvements, and support a positive, respectful work environment. The main goal of an Operations Manager is encompassed in two parts; take care of your employees and take care of your accounts. It is essential for the manager to be quick on their feet and react promptly to address needs. It is equally important for the manager to be proactive to not only foresee problems but to dispel them before they happen. Effective communication is a key to success from all angles. The expectation of this position is to maintain Sonshines standard of quality and increase efficiency at every opportunity. Qualifications Experience in operations management, preferably in commercial cleaning or related services. Strong team leadership skills, including staff supervision, performance feedback, and conflict resolution. Ability to organize schedules, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple sites or teams on a second shift. Knowledge of cleaning standards, safety protocols, and proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and company leadership. Proficiency with basic computer tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation. High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in management or facilities operations is beneficial.
