CORRECTIONS OFFICER
City of Middletown

The City of Middletown is accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer and will conduct an open competitive examination. All applicants will take a written and physical agility test on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Work involves providing care for individuals incarcerated in the City Jail. Corrections Officers rotate through three separate shifts.

Starting salary: $48,716 annually with an excellent benefits package. The starting salary does not include shift pay, overtime, or the clothing allowance.

Candidates selected for further processing will complete interview, background check, polygraph exams, and a psychological assessment. Application packets may be obtained from the Human Resources Office located on the second floor of City Building, One Donham Plaza, Middletown, Ohio or may be downloaded from the citys official website.

The deadline to submit an application is Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
