The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in postpartum care, patient-centered, and dedicated to fostering a positive experience for families during this critical time.Responsibilities include:Provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, including physical assessments, monitoring vital signs, and addressing any medical concerns.Support and educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.Assist with initiating and maintaining breastfeeding, offering guidance and addressing challenges.Monitor mothers for signs of postpartum complications, such as infection, excessive bleeding, or mood disorders, and intervene as needed.Observe and assess newborns for signs of jaundice, feeding difficulties, or other health concerns.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Respond to emergencies promptly and provide critical care as necessary.Educate families on safety measures, including safe sleep practices and car seat safety.Sign on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.Qualifications:Associate Degree in NursingState of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing LicenseBLS certification REQUIRED at time of hireWe're all about well-being, starting with yours.
