Full-Time Cook

Patriots Glen is looking for a full-time cook to join their close-knit assisted living community in the Lake Hills of Bellevue. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support the health and happiness of our residents. Pay is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE. Full time Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:00pm. Washington state food handlers permit required (can obtain when hired). CPR/First Aid required. 1 year experience.

Summary of responsibilities include preparing a variety of fresh meals based on daily menus and the dietary needs of residents, interacting with residents on a daily basis to ascertain their views, suggestions and concerns on meals served, keeping the kitchen clean, organized and fully stocked, properly storing, labeling and rotating food to maintain quality and safety standards, maintaining and recording proper temperature controls, food storage and food rotation, adhering to safety and sanitary practices, supporting teammates to keep the kitchen running effective and positively, and taking pride in every plate that is sent out to ensure mealtime is a highlight for residents.

Requirements include obtaining and maintaining a Washington state food handler's permit, being dependable, able to lift 50 pounds unassisted, in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks, possessing knowledge of safe sanitation practices, safety practices and special diets, able to work in Bellevue, WA, at least 1 year of experience working in a food service setting, ability to follow recipes, read instructions and communicate in English, and having a willingness to learn and a positive attitude working with a team.
