Community Health Program Manager I, II, III

Community Health Program Manager I, II, IIITuskegee University seeks a highly qualified candidate for the Community Health Program. The Program Manager provides direct assistance to County Agents, Educators, Coordinators, and Associated Faculty across the state in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of Community Health programs. This position works collaboratively with faculty, agents, specialists, and interns to ensure programs delivered across more than 20 counties are aligned with USDA approved outputs and outcomes and comply with applicable USDA regulations. The Program Manager plays a critical role in coordinating statewide Community Health initiatives and strengthening integration between Cooperative Extension, campus-based Public Health programs, and community partners. The position is located on campus and includes direct and indirect engagement with all counties served.Essential Job Duties:Provide direct programmatic support to County Agents, Educators, Coordinators, Associated Faculty, and interns across multiple counties.Plan, implement, evaluate, and report Community Health programs aligned with USDA and other Agency outputs, outcomes, and regulatory requirements.Participate in meetings and conferences at the local, state, national, and international levels as approved.Provide technical expertise that complements the skills of faculty, staff, and students in Extension and campus programs.Serve as an integrator of information and services to ensure effective and consistent delivery of Community Health programming statewide.Collaborate with Extension and CISC leadership to support professional development for faculty, staff, and interns.Initiate and design participatory projects in collaboration with faculty and staff and ensure appropriate data collection, analysis, and dissemination.Develop and deliver programs in cooperation with faculty and staff across Tuskegee University.Participate in and, when appropriate, lead proposal development for Extension, Education, and Research initiatives.Prepare timely reports and documentation as required.Serve as a liaison between Cooperative Extension/CIS and Public Health programs to support collaborative projects addressing community health needs.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Health Programs.Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training):Community Health Program Manager I: Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in healthcare or community health settings.Community Health Program Manager II: Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 6-9 years of experience working in healthcare or community health, including experience supporting multi-county or collaborative programs.Community Health Program Manager III: Master of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field. 10 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare or community health, including leadership in large-scale or statewide programming.Skills and Attributes:Knowledge of community and public health principles, practices, and evidence-based programming models.Knowledge of Cooperative Extension systems, land-grant missions, and community-based outreach.Knowledge of USDA-approved outputs, outcomes, reporting requirements, and applicable federal and institutional regulations.Knowledge of program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting.Knowledge of data collection methods, program assessment, and outcome measurements.Knowledge of adult learning theory, community education methods, and teaching strategies.Knowledge of health equity, culturally responsive programming, and service to underserved populations.Knowledge of interdisciplinary collaboration across Extension, academic, and community partners.Skill in coordinating and managing Community Health programs across multiple counties or regions.Skill in designing, delivering, and evaluating Community Health education and outreach programs.Skill in facilitating trainings, workshops, and professional development for faculty, staff, interns, and community stakeholders.Skill in effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication with diverse audiences.Skill in collaborative project development with internal and external partners.Skill in analyzing program data and translating findings into reports, publications, and public facing materials.Skill in contributing to grant and proposal development for Extension, Education, and Research initiatives.Skill in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Skill in problem-solving and adaptive decision-making in complex, community-based environments.Ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary teams.Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to faculty, staff, agents, and interns.Ability to integrate Extension and campus-based public health efforts for statewide impact.Ability to ensure compliance with USDA and institutional policies and procedures.Ability to build and maintain partnerships across counties, institutions, and community organizations.Ability to teach effectively in formal and informal learning environments.Ability to adapt programming to address emerging community health needs.Ability to travel statewide and engage directly with county-based programs.Ability to represent the program professionally at local, state, national, and international levels.Posting Detail Information:Posting Number: s1003Will this position require travel?
