Our client, a small but rapidly growing service company located off Highway 45 on the Conroe / Woodlands border, is seeking a Lead Accounting Professional for an immediate direct-hire opportunity. This position is open due to a long-tenured employee transitioning to a remote opportunity after 15 successful years with the company. This is a fully in-office position, and candidates must be comfortable working onsite daily.

Responsibilities will include:

• Full-cycle general accounting through financial statement preparation
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Payroll processing and related reconciliations
• Inventory tracking and accounting support
• General ledger maintenance
• Journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close
• Working within QuickBooks and Excel to maintain accurate financial records
• Supporting leadership with reporting and operational accounting needs
• Partner with outside CPA on Tax and complex accounting matters
• Assisting with process improvements as the company continues to grow

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
