You will be part of a dedicated team, fostering student development through tailored strategies and engaging lessons.

Qualifications & Preferred Background:

• Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
• Experience working with K-12 students
• Knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and assistive technology
• Proficiency in conducting student assessments, both formal and informal
• Comfort navigating ARD meetings and documentation required by the district
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative work ethic

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction and adapt teaching methods in accordance with district guidelines
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
• Engage in continuous assessment of student progress and adjust approaches as needed
• Prepare materials and reports for and participate actively in ARD meetings
• Work alongside general and special education staff to ensure holistic student support
• Manage a caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high-school-aged learners
