Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of students experiencing mood disorders, including evaluating the intensity, duration, and impact of symptoms on their daily lives.

• Design individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students to target their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the school environment.

• Educate students and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their mental health journeys.

• Track and document client progress consistently, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with school staff, including educators and special services teams, to ensure a holistic approach to each student's mental health.

• Stay current with the latest developments in mood disorder research and therapeutic best practices, integrating this knowledge into treatment.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with a focus on mood disorder treatment.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and educational professionals, embracing diversity in backgrounds and experiences.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage caseloads effectively.
