Make a direct impact on students’ lives by supporting a center-based classroom as a Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the school year. This contract opportunity is full-time, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30am to 3:30pm. You’ll work at a single school site, providing specialized instruction and leadership in a classroom designed for students with multiple needs, supported by a team of three paraprofessionals and a manageable class size of 10-12 students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) teaching license required
• Preference for candidates holding a Developmental Disabilities (DD) or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) endorsement
• Previous experience in a special education setting, particularly with multiple needs populations, is a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and manage individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and modifications to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure student progress
• Maintain up-to-date records and prepare accurate IEP documentation
• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Engage with supportive staff and participate in ongoing professional development

Additional Details:

• Assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year
• Position is for one location with no travel between schools
• Interviews are conducted virtually, either with a panel or one-on-one, and decisions are made quickly
