Key Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification with English endorsement (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
• Experience teaching general education ELA at the secondary level preferred
• Skillful in classroom management, fostering positive relationships, and differentiating instruction
• Proficient in integrating educational technology to enhance instruction and student engagement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a classroom climate that encourages learning, curiosity, and personal growth
• Develop effective rapport and communication with students, families, and colleagues
• Motivate and enable students to develop essential language arts knowledge, skills, and attitudes
• Utilize technology and modern ELA resources to prepare students for 21st-century skills
• Collaborate with co-workers, parents, and volunteers to support each student’s development
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by school leadership
