Front/ Back Office Assistant (Vascular)

Position at Vascular Associates of San Diego Location: 8860 Center Dr. #450 La Mesa, CA 91942 Job Type: Full Time (Monday through Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM) Starting Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 (Based on experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our healthcare professionals while ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in administrative tasks, with a passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the EHR system.
• Confirm patient's insurance provider and obtain prior insurance authorizations as required.
• Verify identification and demographic information.
• Submit authorizations for imaging orders.
• Assist answering multi-line phones promptly and professionally, directing calls appropriately.
• Complete patient check-in and check-out processes, including collection of co-pays as needed.
• Room patients and let provider know patient is ready for them.
• Clean room once patient has left and make sure it is ready for the next patient.
• Perform all aspect of patient care in an environment that organizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent,
• Certified Medical Assistant a plus
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, experience with Epic EHR system.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

What We Offer:

• All employees receive 40 hours of sick time. We offer medical insurance after 90 days, will start to accrue vacation time after 90 days. We have a 401-K benefit plan which you will be fully vested after 2 years though you earn towards it after 90 days. The office is closed all major holidays.
