Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele) Location Bismarck, ND Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with conditions including cardiac, pulmonary, sepsis, and acute-on-chronic diagnoses Titrate and manage drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine Read and independently interpret cardiac telemetry strips; monitor patients via portable and in-room telemetry monitors Manage PCU-level overflow patients at a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; standard ratios of 1:4–5 with occasional 1:5–6 on nights Assist with or monitor respiratory equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and high-flow oxygen (Airvo) Float as needed to PCU for full patient load, medical-surgical units, and ER holds/boarding as a helping hand Required Qualifications Active RN licensure Current BLS and ACLS certifications PCU experience required Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips Willingness to float to PCU, medical-surgical, and ER hold areas as needed Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with Epic EMR Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing First-time travelers welcome to apply Why Join Us Work on a collaborative cardiac/telemetry unit supported by charge nurses on every shift, nurse aides, and dedicated telemetry monitor technicians Scheduling considerations including blocked scheduling may be accommodated based on unit needs Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 771218.
