Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive care to patients and their families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in accordance with established standards and competencies specific to the area of service. The scope of practice encompasses the care of neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout the life cycle.

The RN is responsible for executing the Standards of Nursing Practice, which includes:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN collaborates with other healthcare disciplines to develop and revise individualized plans of care and delegates appropriate activities to other care providers. Active participation in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices is expected. By demonstrating leadership qualities and skills, the RN helps define, implement, and enhance practice standards and the overall environment of care, while promoting exceptional patient care.

Shift Notes

• 36-Hour Guarantee
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
• On Call Requirement: No Call

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP Certification
• Experience with the Newborn Population
• Level III NICU experience
• Experience with Epic EMR

Additional Information

Clinicians are expected to comply with all facility requirements, including background checks and other employment prerequisites. Dress code includes hospital-provided scrubs.
