Overnight Resident MonitorLocation: Tarpon Springs, FL Compensation: $16.00/hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Operations Reports To: Facility DirectorPosition OverviewThe Resident Monitor plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and daily operations of a work release facility serving individuals transitioning back into the community.This position combines custodial supervision, documentation, and client interaction to ensure a structured, compliant, and supportive environment. Our work is centered on accountability, rehabilitation, and opportunity for individuals transitioning back into the community.We are committed to supporting our employees through professional development, a collaborative work culture, and a workplace that values both mission impact and employee well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain safety, security, and supervision of residents in a structured work release environmentConduct routine counts, inspections, and searches to control contraband and ensure complianceMonitor daily resident activities including meals, work assignments, visitation, and recreationComplete accurate documentation, reports, logs, and entries in the inmate management systemPerform intake procedures for new residents, including documentation and file setupRespond appropriately to incidents while maintaining professionalism and emotional controlIdentify and report safety, medical, or behavioral concernsEnforce policies, procedures, and emergency protocolsParticipate in required trainings and staff meetingsSupport a respectful, structured, and accountable environment for residents and staffRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDExperienceAbility to work in a structured or secure environmentWillingness to work with justice-involved individualsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high-stress situationsSound judgment and decision-making skillsTeam-oriented with strong interpersonal boundariesLicenses / CertificationsValid Florida driver's licenseAbility to pass a background screening and meet Florida Department of Corrections requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience in corrections, criminal justice, behavioral health, or reentry servicesPrior experience working with justice-involved populationsCollege coursework in criminal justice, psychology, social work, or related fieldWork EnvironmentThis position operates within a secure residential program environment and involves:Continuous interaction with residents in a structured settingExposure to potentially high-stress or safety-sensitive situationsRoutine documentation and computer-based workPhysical activity including walking, standing, and monitoring throughout the facilitySchedule Expectations12-hour rotating shifts (3–4 days per week) 7 pm -7 am First week Monday-Tuesday -OFF-OFF-OFF-Saturday Sunday.
