Fusion Medical Staffing‑Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for an 8‑week assignment in Metairie, Louisiana. Start date: 06/02/2026. 40 hours per week. 8‑hour days. Job Details As a member of the team, you will perform minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Required Qualifications One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC). Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state. PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification. Additional certifications or licenses recognized by the state. Essential Work Functions Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. Assist physicians by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field. Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details. Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions. Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment. Manage and restock procedural supplies. Collaborate with the interventional radiology team for seamless patient care. Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols. Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication. Proficient reading and writing in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC proficiency. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel. Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation during procedures. Mental resilience to meet deadlines under pressure and handle irregular schedules. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
