Job Description

The Team Assembler II assembles components and products at a bench, conveyor line, or on the floor using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. This role focuses on building products such as visors, heavy truck components, paddle locks, T-handles, D-rings, vents, and roll-up doors while ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow work orders and bills of material, and consistent productivity in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or fit together parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or on the floor using hand tools, power tools, and special equipment.
• Assemble products including visors, heavy truck components, paddle locks, T-handles, D-rings, vents, and roll-up doors according to specifications.
• Place parts in the correct relationship to each other and fasten them using hand tools, air tools, or by hand as required.
• Inspect, test, and verify the accuracy of assembled products for conformance to standards using measuring or testing equipment and visual examination.
• Read and follow work orders, bills of material, blueprints, and schematics to complete assemblies correctly and efficiently.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures to confirm dimensions and alignment of assembled parts.
• Operate a pallet jack to move materials, components, and finished products safely within the manufacturing area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of machinery, tools, and the general work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Communicate with the production supervisor regarding any production problems, quality issues, or material concerns.
• Complete scrap forms, work orders, and daily move sheets accurately and in a timely manner as directed.
• Work either as part of a team or independently to meet established production rates and quality standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while using production equipment and tools.

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, consistent with a Team Assembler II level.
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and air tools.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and bills of material.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Skill in using measuring and testing equipment, including tape measures, to verify accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Experience with production and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a supervisor regarding parts, assembly processes, and production issues.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack safely.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently while meeting established production rates.
• Ability to keep the work area clean and organized.
• Capability to inspect, test, and verify assembled products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular job duties.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Prior experience in basic assembly or manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with production equipment and assembly production workflows.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Reliability and consistency in following procedures and documentation requirements.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing department with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work takes place at a bench, on a conveyor line, or on the floor, using hand tools, power tools, air tools, and production equipment. You will regularly use measuring tools and testing equipment and operate a pallet jack to move materials. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, appropriate for a production and assembly setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, SC.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
