Systems Engineer III

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer III to join our team! The Systems Engineer supports requirements engineering, integration planning, lifecycle management, and technical risk and issue mitigation across complex, mission-focused systems on the IaaS task. The role pairs strong Linux command-line expertise with deep Jira Service Desk administration, and carries responsibility for driving cross-stakeholder alignment, maintaining disciplined configuration and change control, and producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation that supports engineering, operations, and compliance needs. Qualifications: Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph Twenty (20) years' experience as a Systems Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Security+ certification preferred Required Skills + Experience: Demonstrated proficiency navigating Linux systems using the Linux CLI Experience eliciting, analyzing, validating, and documenting technical and functional requirements to ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and align with mission objectives Experience developing detailed integration strategies, coordinating cross team dependencies, and overseeing system integration activities to ensure seamless interoperability across components Experience at identifying potential risks, evaluating impacts, creating mitigation plans, and tracking issues through resolution to maintain system stability Proficient in maintaining disciplined configuration baselines, documenting changes, enforcing version control processes, and ensuring all modifications follow established governance procedures Strong ability to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, alignment, and timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle Experienced in defining system lifecycle strategies, including development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement, and decommissioning phases to support long term program sustainability Produces clear, comprehensive, and well-structured technical documentation, including diagrams, procedures, how-to guides, and reports that support engineering, operations, and compliance needs Hands-on expertise designing, configuring, and maintaining Jira Service Desk projects, workflows, automation, permissions, and custom fields to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Desired Skills + Experience Experience with Git Source Control System #J-18808-Ljbffr
