About the Position

Our client is seeking a Local CDL A Truck Driver in Plainfield, Indiana. This position offers potential annual earnings of $72,000 to $85,000 while transporting mattresses on local delivery routes. Routes vary daily and involve light touch freight.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay rate: $0.57 per mile
• Potential annual earnings: Up to $85,000
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start times: Typically between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
• Hours per week: 40

Job Details

• Route type: Local delivery with non-static routes
• Freight: Mattresses
• Equipment: 2016 or newer single-axle day cabs and sleeper cabs
• Handling: Light touch; drivers assist customers with offloading
• Route distance: Generally 280–450 miles per route or day

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver mattresses on assigned local routes
• Assist with offloading mattresses and bringing them to the rear of the trailer
• Use provided equipment, including four-wheel carts and dollies, to move mattresses
• Complete routes within one day when possible; delays may require layovers
• Report delays, breakdowns, and weather-related issues to dispatch
• Operate assigned equipment safely and professionally

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
• Valid CDL
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
