• Shift: Clinic Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Hospital rotations every 5–6 weeks, on-site inpatient care, consultations, multidisciplinary rounds, diagnostic reads, follow-ups
• Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours/week (variable with hospital and clinic duties)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Contract
• License/Certifications: Active Physician License, Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiology/Internal Medicine (supervising license required for Physician Assistants)
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in cardiology or internal medicine preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient care and conduct rounds during hospital rotations
• Manage outpatient cardiology clinics, follow patients, and coordinate diagnostic studies
• Read hospital diagnostic studies and provide follow-up communication
• Communicate with referring providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Ensure accurate documentation of all patient encounters
• Support the supervision of Physician Assistants and participate in long-term clinic coverage plans
• Participate in consultations and emergency services on call, as assigned

What You Need

• Active, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or eligible in Cardiology or Internal Medicine
• Proven experience in cardiology or hospital-based inpatient care
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Supervisory license for Physician Assistants (preferred)
