Occupational Therapist School Setting - Chicago, IL

Opportunity 1: Provide full-time coverage for two non-concurrent leaves at local elementary schools. You'll start by supporting students at one elementary school, then transition to a second location for continued impactful work through the school year. With a consistent weekly schedule of over 35 hours, you'll have the chance to help students develop essential skills in welcoming, collaborative environments.


Opportunity 2: If you have a passion for early childhood intervention, step into a full-time OT role working in an engaging early childhood classroom setting, also offering over 35 hours weekly. Your expertise will empower young learners, preparing them for future academic and social success. Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience providing OT services in school settings is highly desirable
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess and address students' functional needs to support academic participation
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
• Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and families to maximize student progress
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports per school and state guidelines
• Coach staff in implementing effective strategies for student success
