The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida. These surveys ensure that all state licensed and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements and patients and residents receive safe, quality health care. Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities when emergencies such as natural disasters occur. Work You Will Do Conduct inspections utilizing an established survey process. Evaluate health care facilities for state licensure and federal certification requirements for participation under Medicare/Medicaid. Document findings and complete written reports of survey findings. Perform surveys as an individual, team member, or team leader. Complete the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the first 12 months of employment as required by sections of the Social Security Act. Work during weekends or holidays as assigned. Provide emergency work support in other counties or staffing locations, including responses to disasters of any type. Operate computer equipment and software programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook and smart phone technology. Be available to work before and after normal work hours, including weekends and holidays. Travel extensively, including significant overnight travel. Maintain a good attendance record and report to work daily and on time. This position has a Competitive Area Differential (CAD) and will be hired at $1,692.31 + $36.80 = $1,729.11 - $1,946.16 + $36.80 = $1,982.96 biweekly.
