Finance Administrator – Georgetown University Requisition #: 661438 Location: Washington, DC, 20057 Job Description This position is based on‑site at Georgetown University. The Finance Administrator will collect and archive general ledger data including sales revenue, transaction metrics, food cost, and labor metrics for all F&B operations at Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law Center. The role is focused on timely data collection, creating recurring reports and presentations for internal communications and client‑facing discussions. The role is part of the Finance department. Job Responsibilities Performs accounts receivable accounting tasks including adjustments, memos, month‑end journal entries and variance analysis. Completes accounting and reporting activities in accordance with US GAAP and organizational policies. Ensures month‑end close and financial reporting deadlines are met. Acts as a liaison with the general ledger and corporate accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely closes. Prepares standard reporting templates and packages accurately and timely. Provides documentation and support to internal and external auditors. Maintains service level agreements and key performance indicators for the accounts receivable function. Supports a continuous improvement environment in the accounts receivable function. Qualifications 2+ years of finance or accounting experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Advanced experience with Excel preferred. Advanced experience with data entry and analysis preferred. General accounts receivable experience. Strong technical and analytical accounting skills. Proven problem‑solving and dispute resolution ability.
