About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 5-day assignment in New Mexico. The role involves providing critical access ER coverage during 12-hour shifts, managing a diverse range of emergency procedures, and stabilizing trauma patients for transfer.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive critical access ER coverage.
- Perform essential procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central/arterial line placement, paracentesis/thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, tube/needle/finger thoracotomy, chemical/electric cardioversion, and closed fracture reductions.
- Stabilize all trauma cases for transfer to an academic campus.
Additional Information
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- EMR system: Evident.
