1.0 FTE - Day Shift Starting Pay - $20.40 to $29.12 (based on experience) Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience. Performs specimen processing and handling according to established protocols, procedures, and standards of laboratory practice. Exercises appropriate critical thinking and problem-solving skills Applies specimen processing safety standards and specimen management methods to laboratory practice. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates proficiency in documenting patient specimen flow in Laboratory Information System (LIS). Demonstrates good organizational skills and workflow management. Processes specimens according to requirements, including preparation of specimens for dispatch to external labs as needed. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills in reconciling patient orders and discrepancies. Maintains a safe work environment and complies with standards for safe practice and standard precautions. Assists with new employee orientation and training. Performs other duties as requested.
