Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Date: May 14, 2026 We currently have an opening available on both second and third shift. Starting pay $28 - $29 hourly (OT at 1.5X after 40 hrs. weekly). Shift schedule: 2nd shift: Monday - Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Shift differential $0.85) 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Shift differential $1.15) Benefits beginning Day 1 Generous vacation (10 days), personal (9 days) and holiday (8 days) pay 401K retirement savings with 6% company match Annual bonus up to 4% Medical insurance with HSA Tuition Reimbursement Active Diversity and Inclusion Networks Employee referral bonus Key Responsibilities Analyze mechanical problems on assigned equipment, plan for and take corrective action. Make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain maximum production efficiency and quality. Test equipment operation after repairs or installations and notify necessary persons of equipment operational status. Assist with new equipment installations as needed. Perform minor repairs on flooring, concrete, drywall repair and painting. Repair and replace lighting, process, pneumatic, and water piping (potable and fire protection). Move furniture, miscellaneous boxes and files as required. Assist with inventory management and keep storerooms and shop neat and clean. Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on assigned equipment by visually inspecting, greasing, testing safety switches, measuring with go-no-go gauges, recording critical information, oil analysis, etc., and reporting adverse findings to the Maintenance Manager. Identify potential problems and either repair immediately or schedule repairs to eliminate breakdowns during operation. Comply with all HSE policies, report any concerns that may have an adverse impact on health, safety and the environment, attend monthly safety meetings, maintain a neat, clean and safe work area, work safely and require others to do so, adhere to AkzoNobel’s Code of Conduct, correct or notify supervisor of unsafe conditions. Perform area housekeeping responsibilities. Assist with on‑call duties after hours and weekends. Job Requirements Position requires a minimum of High School Diploma, vocational/military training or 2 years related experience. Must possess a valid and current driver’s license. Must possess manual dexterity and have the ability to lift at least 55 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for periods of eight to twelve hours. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to use ladders, hoists, industrial trucks and material handling equipment. Must have the ability to wear a breathing apparatus and other associated HSE personal protective equipment. Must possess the ability to read and comprehend equipment repair manuals, standard operating procedures and work instructions. Must be proficient in the safe use of a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.), power tools (table saw, cut‑off saw, bench grinders, sanders). Skillful in building and grounds maintenance carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting and related operations involving building repair and grounds maintenance. Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
