Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Weekend coverage approximately once per quarter for RNs
• On-call requirements vary by specialty - general on average every 7th weekend, specialty teams (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic) take nightly call
• 30-minute call response time required
• Must rotate holidays with permanent staff and maintain flexibility
• Work in 19 operating suites handling 55-60 cases per day (approximately 1000 per month)
• One week floor-specific orientation provided
• Handle full service cases except major pediatrics and transplants
• Function as level 2 trauma center with ortho/neuro trauma capabilities
• Experience with robotics procedures
• Scrubbing not required but preferred for RNs
• Must maintain strict 75-mile radius from address on driver's license to hospital
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Electronic medical record system: MEDITECH
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Minimum 2-3 years of OR experience required
• Must demonstrate basic competency across multiple services
• Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience level
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• BSN degree not required

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 19 operating suites that handle a high volume of diverse procedures. The facility functions as a level 2 trauma center and offers full-service surgical capabilities including robotics, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac procedures. The organization maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with surgeons available around the clock to cover their cases. The facility emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and flexibility from their healthcare team members.
