Work schedule will be assigned by the District Maintenance Manager. Qualifications Certification of good health signed by a physician Demonstrated aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities Valid driver’s license Alternatives to the above qualifications as the committee may find appropriate and acceptable Organizational Relationships Reports directly to the building head custodian. General Responsibilities To provide students and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, work, and develop. Specific Responsibilities Keep buildings and premises, including sidewalk, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times Shovel, plow, and/or sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as appropriate Sweep or mop classrooms daily and dust furniture and vertical surfaces according to schedule Sweep or mop general office space daily and dust furniture and vertical surfaces according to schedule Cleans corridors daily or more often as directed by head custodian, building principal, or designee Wash and disinfect toilets, locker rooms, and shower room floors daily, and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice a year, and more frequently, if necessary Keep the grounds free from rubbish Perform ground‑keeping chores such as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition Cleans all chalkboards/whiteboards at least once a week Makes such minor building repairs as you are capable of Report major repairs needed promptly to the head custodian Report damage to the school property promptly to the head custodian Move furniture and equipment within the building as directed by the head custodian, building principal, or designee Complete maintenance projects as assigned Maintain fields (lining) and grounds Perform other duties as assigned Position Type Full‑time Job Categories Support Staff > Custodian Support Staff > Maintenance Welcome to Dighton‑Rehoboth Regional High School (DRRHS) The Dighton‑Rehoboth Regional High School is located in N.
