Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position in an acute care hospital CT setting, performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional CT procedures.

Details

• Acute care hospital CT department serving adult inpatient, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department patients
• Average daily census of 30 patients with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shifts (7pm–7am), Friday through Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36-hour weekly schedule available
• 13-week contract with potential for extension beyond 13 weeks
• Procedures include abdomen (with/without contrast), chest (with/without contrast), head (with/without contrast), pelvis, sinuses, soft tissue neck, carotid, cervical/thoracic/lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, CT arthrography, myelography, enterography, intravenous pyelogram, colorectal studies, and drainage procedures
• Omnicell used for medication management and documentation
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a different rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant CT Technologist experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS
• Experience in adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings required
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment required
• Skills required include isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Pediatric acute care or pediatric outpatient experience preferred
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 12 months are highly preferred; references must be on file prior to start
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation takes place during the first week of the assignment; candidates must be available for classes each day during orientation week
• Pre-start modules are required (approximately 8–10 hours for acute care roles) and must also be completed annually; modules are completed via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes
• No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation; up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved if it does not fall on a holiday, and anything beyond 7 days requires facility approval
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Former permanent, PRN, or EP staff employees of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required
• Travel pairs are permitted, but each traveler must have their own transportation and be prepared for potentially different schedules
