Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AS400 / Synon Technical Lead with deep expertise in PBM/RxClaim core adjudication systems , Synon (CA/2E), COBOL/400, and AS400 mid-range technologies. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, hands-on development, PBM domain expertise, and client coordination.

Technical Skills Required

AS400 / iSeries Mid-Range Technologies
Synon (CA/2E) - 15+ years of hands-on programming
COBOL/400, COBOL ILE - 8+ years
CLLE, SQL, DB2/400
Experience working with ACMS / MOM
Strong understanding of ILE concepts , commit control, array handling
Proven experience developing large-scale PBM adjudication systems
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

PBM / RxClaim Domain Expertise

Core PBM functions:
Claims Adjudication
Pricing & Accumulators
Medicare Part D Pricing
Benefit Plan Processing
Patient Pay Calculations
Regulatory compliance requirements
Strong knowledge of RxClaim ecosystem preferred

Responsibilities

Analyze, understand, and refine functional and technical requirements
Work closely with business, capability teams, and client SMEs
Provide hands-on development using Synon, COBOL, CLLE, and SQL
Guide, mentor, and review work of offshore/onshore development teams
Partner with team members to build robust, scalable technical solutions
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize existing applications
Lead design discussions, ensure adherence to PBM standards and best practices
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Support continuous integration, improvements, and technical roadmap planning
Coordinate with clients for requirement clarifications and solutions
Provide oversight on delivery quality, performance, and issue resolution
