Quality Technician I- 6pm-6:15am, 2,2,3 schedule Job Category : Quality Requisition Number : TECHN006101 Posted : September 2, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Boise, ID 83716, USA Description Main Responsibilities: Acts as auditor for quality results of Production Department Acts as point of contact for Production Supervisor and Engineering Manager regarding quality Performs product quality checks every two hours Performs hourly part checks Responsible for use/handling of quality measuring devices Responsible for accurate completion of quality paperwork Audits color and part checks Responsible for saving/scrapping decisions Owns “Red tag process” (marking product of questionable quality). Audits process set points Audits label and rate schedule Collects flex samples and performs flex testing Maintains standards for product quality-testing areas within plant Qualifications: Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred Experience with ISO9000/QS9000/TS16949 Quality Systems & Auditing, a plus Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mathematical abilities Must be able to accurately read quality measuring tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, square, and tape measure) - preferred Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures that can become very hot depending on the weather. Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment. Ability and interest in working a 12 hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. Physical Demands: Ability to work in an environment that can become hot/cold (temperature) depending on the weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must individually lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
