Aurora Technologies, Inc. is a custom machine shop leading the industry in thermosets and thermoplastics.We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team in the Quality Department. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other gauges. They will also have a great understanding of basic math and geometric functions.1st Shift hours are from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday2nd Shift hours are from 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday through FridayStarting rate is based on experience, $16/hr and up!! (with shift differential for 2nd shift)** EARN A $500 SIGN ON BONUS WHEN YOU JOIN OUR TEAM**Job Description:Understand quality and production within company specifications, goals, and objectives.Comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; comply with internal ATI practices.Support all 6S and lean initiatives.Have a basic understanding of an ERP system.Interpret technical drawings.Inspect parts and determine whether they meet specifications throughout production and upon completion by using various quality gauges.Complete material certs for shipments.Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.Required Knowledge and Skills:Understanding of organizational flow within the company and inspection proceduresUnderstanding of how to work with a teamAbility to interpret standard and metric drawingsAbility to understand 1st and 3rd angle projectionAbility to read calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other quality gauges effectivelyBasic understanding of gauge calibrationAbility to understand and complete basic geometry and algebraBasic computer skillsAbility to deal with problems and make decisions involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsKnowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectivemanufacture and distribution of goods1+ years of experience in qualityMinimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Ability to sit, stand or walk for up to eight hoursAbility to bend and squatAbility to pass a yearly vision testAbility to work in an environment without a controlled temperatureThe above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
