Senior Firewall Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a dedicated Senior Firewall Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Firewall Engineer, you will be part of the Security Operations Department supporting the Network Security team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Senior Firewall Engineer

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Range: $55-60/Hr

What's the Job?

• Manage and support Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls to ensure optimal security and performance.

• Support Global Protect for a large user base of 240,000 users, ensuring secure remote access.

• Perform packet captures, analyze logs, and manage incident responses to maintain network integrity.

• Implement and support policy changes and routing adjustments to adapt to evolving security needs.

• Participate in firewall migration projects, including transitioning from Palo Alto to Fortinet platforms.

What's Needed?

• At least 4+ years of experience in InfoSec engineering with a focus on network security.

• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls.

• Strong knowledge of security policy design and implementation.

• Experience with Panorama (device groups, templates) is essential.

• Proficiency in managing Palo Alto firewalls is a top priority.
