This is a Hybrid position. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of client engagement experts, data engineers and data scientists to provideeffective and efficient data solutions for commercial clients across a range of industries and environments. The ideal candidate will have deep data engineering skills and experience, and a customer-oriented approach to applying technology to complex problems.Responsibilities:Work closely with commercial clients to understand their business needs, translate those into engineering requirements, and design and implement compelling solutions.Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various systems and networks, ensuring seamless data flow.Collaborate with cloud and system architects to establish secure and efficient data transfer protocols among different networks and systems.Develop and enforce data quality standards, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of integrated data.Contribute to RFIs, proposals, and subject matter expertise as needed for business development.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.Experience with cloud services from providers such as Azure, AWS, or Oracle and their data storage and processing servicesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or SQL.Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologiesFamiliarity and comfort with version control systems such as Git.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST framework).Cloud certifications such as Azure Databricks Data Engineer Certification, AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or similar.Experience with agile development methodologies.Knowledge of data governance.Familiarity with Dimensional Modeling practices.Familiarity with Project Management fundamentals, comfortable with communicating resource needs and discussing project level concerns.Clearance Requirements:US Citizenship is requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the timeMust be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnelConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
