Job Description
CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse - Rotating Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:30 - 19:30) shifts are required, with every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience to provide high-level care to adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic environment. This position will require traveling nurses who are versatile and ready to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies, including mechanical support devices.
• Perform specialized procedures such as bedside central/A-line insertions, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertions.
• Maintain a patient care ratio of 1:1, up to 3 with stable, lower acuity patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Maryland or a compact license.
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications required; CCRN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CICU or CVICU.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
