# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Texas Start Date: October 12, 2026 Location: Austin, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends (every other weekend), no call required Highlights: - 13-week contract assignment in a 32-bed Progressive Care/Intermediate Care Unit- Patient ratio of 1:4 with strong team support including 9 RNs, 2-3 PCTs, and 2 Telemetry Monitor Techs per shift- Meditech EMR system with modern patient-specific equipment including IV pumps, BiPAP/CPAP, and telemetry monitoring- Clinical focus on pre and post-operative care, drip titration, and non-titration drip management- Collaborative environment emphasizing professional growth and positive team culture- Navy scrubs provided Requirements: - Current Texas RN license or compact state license- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required- Progressive Care or Intermediate Care experience strongly preferred- BSN and PCCN certification preferred- Experience with telemetry monitoring and critical drip management Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Progressive Care Unit offers registered nurses the chance to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios and comprehensive team support.
