Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Circulator role requiring 2+ years of OR experience and robotics experience.

Details

Operating Room department within a hospital setting

Functions as OR Circulator supporting surgical team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and ORTs

Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts, 6:30am-5pm

On-call responsibilities required: 6-8 shifts per month (1-2 per week)

Weeknight call runs from 5pm to 6:30am the next morning

Weekend call is a 24-hour shift, either Saturday or Sunday 7am to 7am

Rotating weekend requirement

Requirements

Active FL or compact RN license required

2+ years of recent OR Circulator experience required

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)

Robotics experience required

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Valid driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care in the operating room

Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards along with hospital and surgical department policies

Ensure supplies and timeliness of cases, communicate with families, and update physician preference cards

Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases

Supervise personnel delivering patient care

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered

RTO requests must be less than one week
