Building Automation Field Supervisor

About this role The Building Automation Field Supervisor is a team leader of a selected number of Field Engineers (FE). Their primary responsibilities include managing and training direct employees, mentoring new hires into new construction field operations, and coordinating the timely completion of all assigned projects with the Project Management group. They ensure that field staff has the proper knowledge and execution of work under the project-specific budget and coordinate all resources, both internal and external, necessary for new construction projects in Cora PPM. Key Responsibilities Communication and Documentation: Manage documentation and communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams; ensure proper time utilization and accurate reporting in Cora PPM; prepare for and represent the company in meetings. Budget Management: Understand and monitor project budgets, ensure quality control, provide feedback to direct reports, and attend key meetings such as turnover and pre-bid meetings. Project Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate task assignments and resources with project managers, maintain schedules with subcontractors and teams, and ensure consistent communication of project timelines. Technical Competencies: Proficient in ALC programming and graphics, provide technical assistance to the team, and leverage other FE’s to meet project schedules. Leadership & Team Development: Develop and improve company standards, mentor current and new FE’s, conduct interviews, and participate in peer and post-mortem reviews. Personal Development: Attend seminars and self-study courses to maintain proficiency and improve job performance. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. At least 3 years of experience in the HVAC controls industry. Valid, current driver’s license and eligibility for company insurance. Ability to travel in excess of 25% of the typical workweek, including air travel, overnight stays, and occasional on-call assignments. Capability to climb ladders or use lift equipment above 8 feet and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, business, or related field. Experience interacting with a large and diverse set of simultaneous challenges requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines. Field experience and understanding of Automated Logic Controls installation and operation, and ability to navigate third-party control systems and integrations. Experience with Automated Logic and Phoenix software (WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, Accel Works). Previous leadership experience and ability to lead and motivate diverse teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications. Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $129,500.00. Pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.
