Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerImmediate need for a talented Quality Engineer. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite).Key Responsibilities:Facilitating cross functional project meetingsCompile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondenceIdentify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholdersLead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progressLead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support /Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.Establish & validate containment & permanent actionsPlants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan updateKey Requirements and Technology Experience:Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University5+ years of experience in Product Engineering2 + years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skillsWell-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforceProficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and ProjectWorking knowledge of TeamcenterWorking knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawingsHVAC SystemCooling SystemIntake & Exhaust SystemMaster's in engineeringShainin RedX Black BeltGreen Belt / Kepner TregoeDesign for Six SigmaProject Management
