Clinical Dietetic Technician

Clinical Dietetic Technician
Major duties and responsibilities will include:
- Works collaboratively with the Clinical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Obtains, verifies, and interprets data needed to identify nutrition-related problems, their causes, and their significance
- Uses data obtained from the nutrition assessment to identify the chief nutrition problem, its etiology, and the signs and symptoms to support the diagnosis
- Develops and implements the clinical nutrition care plan to address and manage the nutrition diagnosis
- Communicates, monitors, and documents (in the medical record) the response to nutrition therapy in accordance with regulatory standards
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Designated Drug-Testing Position: Applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Applicants will not be appointed to the position if a verified positive drug test result is received.
Work Schedule for Atlanta: Sunday-Saturday 7:30am-4:00pm rotating including holidays and weekends.
