Why Work Here?

You will work in modern, temperature-controlled facilities where safety is a major focus and operations are well-structured. The organization offers excellent employee benefits and provides a clean, organized environment, especially at the Alsip site, which has been remodeled within the last decade. You will join a team where everyone contributes across different tasks, creating a collaborative culture where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued. With exposure to both high-volume and customized production operations, you gain valuable, versatile experience in a supportive setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in modern, temperature-controlled production and warehouse facilities in Alsip and Chicago Heights, Illinois. The Alsip facility is very clean, organized, and recently remodeled, with a smaller workforce of roughly 10–15 people on first shift and about half that on second shift. It has fewer lines, kettles, fillers, and blenders and focuses more on customized orders and pallets. The Chicago Heights facility is larger and not as new as Alsip, but still in good condition and also temperature controlled. It supports a bigger workforce with a few hundred employees across shifts, more production lines, and higher-volume, continuous batches and repetitive client orders. The environment there can be more chaotic at times due to the volume of work and number of people. Both locations emphasize safety and maintain organized inventory and supplies, with security checkpoints at the front and multiple break rooms available. You will work around non-harmful chemicals and participate in manufacturing, bottling, staging, and shipping operations. First shift at Chicago Heights typically runs 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with an expectation of about 50 hours per week; the standard schedule is Monday through Thursday 10-hour shifts with mandatory Fridays and optional Saturdays during busy periods. In Alsip, second shift typically runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Reliable transportation is required because the facilities are not accessible by public transit. Everyone is expected to wear steel toe boots as part of the required dress code and to assist with housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and salting the parking lot when it snows.
