Extension Educators Coordinator 3, FCS/ANR - Miami county

This position is 40 hours per week and located in Troy, OH. Responsibilities The Program Assistant works collaboratively with the Miami County Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Educator to design, implement, and evaluate adult financial literacy programs. The PA supports behavior changes among participants using motivational techniques and interactive teaching methods to reach new and existing audiences within the county. The PA facilitates engaging courses to empower participants with financial management skills, serves as a HUD‑Approved Homebuyer Education counselor, attaining certification within 6 months from hire, and adapts content to diverse audiences. The PA develops community partnerships within Miami County to offer adult life‑skill and financial programs. The PA also supports the Agriculture and Natural Resource (ANR) Educator in planning, conducting, and administering the Master Gardener Volunteer Program, ensuring volunteer training and certification, coordinating outreach via community events, social media, newsletters, and county website, maintaining records, and collaborating with extension professionals, government agencies, nonprofits, and the MGV Advisory Board. Qualifications High School diploma or GED (certification or vocational training may be required). Associate degree in relevant field preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required; 4–6 years preferred. Benefits & Compensation The pay range is $16.65–$21.77 hourly, based on internal equity, unit budget, and qualifications.
