In this role, you will help prepare dining areas and meal trays, serve residents and ensure dietary needs and food-safety guidelines are followed. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable and committed to creating a positive dining experience for residents.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Set up dining areas and meal trays for daily meal service
• Assist cooks and supervisors with basic food preparation and service
• Follow dietary restrictions and meal instructions based on residents’ individual needs
• Deliver meal carts to residents
• Serve residents and provide friendly, attentive service
• Set up, clean and maintain assigned dining areas
• Record refrigerator temperatures accurately
• Clean and restock refrigerators and food-service areas as needed
• Wash and properly store dishes and kitchen equipment
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow sanitation procedures
• Follow all food-safety guidelines and applicable regulations

What We’re Looking For

• At least one year of food-service experience preferred
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Basic food-preparation knowledge
• Understanding of sanitation and food-safety practices
• Strong attention to detail, especially when following dietary instructions
• Friendly and patient approach when working with residents
• Dependability and willingness to work as part of a team
• Availability to work days or evenings, including some weekends and holidays
