Contract NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 13 Weeks

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. There are no call requirements for this role.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional respiratory care to high-risk infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role includes managing ventilator support, administering respiratory therapies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies, including nebulizers and oxygen therapy.
• Manage ventilator support for neonates, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform regular assessments and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
• Previous experience in a NICU setting is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
