Job Details Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York healthcare jobs) Facility: State-of-the-art Emergency Department (64 beds: acute, trauma, psych, pediatric) Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract Start Date: October 13, 2025 End Date: January 10, 2026 Shifts: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts/week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250-$2310 Scrub Color: Navy Blue Qualifications Current and active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric care Travel nursing experience in ER preferred Charge nurse experience highly preferred Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Two recent Emergency Department Charge/Manager RN references Skills checklist matching emergency nursing specialty Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics Proficiency with EPIC EMR required Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Respond to a wide range of emergency conditions: stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR Demonstrate flexibility by floating to other clinical units as required Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy blue scrubs) Benefits 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision About GHR With over 30 years of healthcare staffing experience, GHR Healthcare is your trusted partner in finding the perfect contract or permanent role in the healthcare industry.
